Shirley High School is a successful, oversubscribed, mixed, 6 form entry, 11-18 comprehensive school, set in a pleasant residential suburb in Croydon.

Shirley High are very proud of their Performing Arts School Specialist status. To achieve the status the school had to show excellence in all areas of the curriculum and have the ability to pass on those skills to other schools. 

The school aims to develop students for the future as they learn to achieve the highest standards of excellence in academic work and other areas of school life. The school's GCSE examination results have shown a consistent improvement and we are continually above the national average.
